You can:

Wear an electronic watch (mine is a Seiko Solar).
Carry and use a cell phone (apple or android).
Use a cordless phone.
Drive/ride in a hybrid car. We own a Prius.
Carry keyless key fobs for said hybrid car, or any other.
Work on any car with the hood open.
Operate a vacuum cleaner (sorry, Lurch).
Operate a lawnmower, hedge trimmer, weed trimmer ("weed eater" here in the South), chainsaw (electric or gas), or any other gas engine device, and you can work on them too, even when they are running.
Operate electric power tools.
Sit in front of a computer screen.
Work on and around electrical distribution panels.
Ride 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, motorcycles.
And so forth. I'm sure there are other items experienced PM owners have proven to be no problem.

Good Luck and Good Life, PJ

P.S.
Be ready for more of the wisecracker members to have some fun with your question. They won't be able to help themselves.

Purely a guess

but, I would say yes. I base that on the fact that it would typically remain at least 6" from implantation site and I would not imagine it would have any more energy than a small cell phone (which, BTW, I use an iPhone around my ICD all the time).

But, typical disclaimer, these are just my unscientific, untested opinions.

Now, if you are willing to purchase one of those bad boys and send it to me, I will test thoroughly and let you know! ;>

No problem

When I goggle battery life for the apple watch it seems to be in the same ballpark as the Iphone.

So, you won't have to worry about your apple watch, since it will run out of juice in a matter of minutes.

I’ve been wearing mine a year and love it! No problems. Of course, I don’t put it over my PM. Love the data I get from it and it’s not the 4 that just came out. I will upgrade when I have the $$.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
