Need Help for My Dad

Dear all,

My dad is scheduled to get an ICD on May 1 2015. He had a massive heart attack two months ago and was diagnosed with heart failure.

He is anxious about the ICD and would like to meet someone with an ICD to discuss how life is w/ the ICD. He doesn't use the internet and insists on a personal meeting or at least a phone call. If anyone is in the Toronto or GTA area could you please msg me. I love my father dearly and want him to get the ICD but only on his terms.

If anyone is willing to speak with him about your experience I would be eternally grateful.

Hi Everyone,

I still haven't found anyone in the toronto area who could possibly meet my father to discuss their ICD experience. It would mean the world to him to meet someone who has gone through this experience. He feels rather alone and scared right now though he would never admit it....if anyone is available for a quick coffee at a location/time convenient to you please do send me a message.

Hey there,

I'm just seeing this now, so it looks like I may be a few days late.

I actually just had my ICD implanted last Wednesday, April 22nd at Southlake in Newmarket.

I'm certainly open to helping you out with whatever you need based off my recovery experience.

I can completely understand the fear of the unknown.
