My mom had this device implanted 1-2011. Only to have it go bad 11-2014 !!!!!!!
This was her 2nd Pacemaker, the 1st one lasted 11 Years.
There was a Medtronic's representative there to check the device and he said, "It was Bad"
They should be haven a re-call on the device Soon

I consider my device to be so reliable, that I never think about a failure.
leads?

Are her leads ok? When I had a very short battery life, it was because one of the leads was impeded. They had to crank the juice up to get the signal through so it killed the battery very quickly.
11 years is a long time! 7 is average. I'm on #4 and have never had one last longer than 7.
