Going to Europe, Paris and beyond, issues?

I'm heading to Europe with the family this summer, my first trip abroad since I had a pacemaker put in 16 months ago. I've traveled a bit domestically recently, so I know the pat downs I'll be getting going through the airport, but I'm curious if anyone has been to Paris since the attacks at the end of the year. I know they are increasing security, I'm hoping that not every museum has a metal detector, but I'm wondering if any one has any hands on experience lately?

Do as you'd do in an airport

I would just show my pacemaker card as I would in the airport. When we went to Bruges via Dover last year we had to get off the coach and go through an airport style security check, but my friend, who has an ICD fitted (I was pre PM then) just showed her card and was taken around the side as she would have been in an airport.

If the museum has security style scanners at the entrance, show the staff the card, if its the type like you get in stores, then just walk through without stopping. I've not had any problems with store scanners,
