I'm having my first follow up visit this week, 12 days after getting my pacemaker. I know the rep (Medtronics) will be scanning my device. When she did it initially at the hospital I was still recovering and didn't ask a lot of questions. Now that I am more with it, I'm wondering what type of detail she is going to be able to give me on how my device is working? Will it just be % paced? Or will they be able to see when it is being used more (i.e. at night?). What kind of info can they print out for me to take home? What are good initial questions to ask to make sure I get my settings right? Thanks.

You know you're wired when...
Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.

That my dr. office really doesn't want me to have the report apparently. The first time I asked I actually got a copy of a letter with some settings addressed to my GP when I asked for my report. the next 2 times I've asked but never got it. I'm at the point where there must be a reason for not getting it so i'm not going to insist. they're a good dr. and one of the few in my area who accept my insurance so i'm not going to make waves. they seem to know what they're doing and gladly returned my settings to what they were after the 1st visit. (I'd had them turn up the upper limit to see if that would help my exercising. made me feel worse so they adjusted it back) and I feel much better. One of these days I might get one.
