Implantable defibrillator has moved position

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help? My mum had 2 stents fitted 4years ago and was fine until April this year when for 3 days she was going into cardiac arrest. She had an implantable defibrillator fitted which thank god hasn't had to do anything yet it was fitted below the collar bone but seems to have slipped down to her breast. Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else? The wires still seem to be in place We are still learning any help would be much appreciated.

Yea, it can move a little

My ICD has shifted just a bit. I was reaching overhead holding something when it came loose and put the weight on my arms. I felt a slight tear in the area of my ICD and it now sits at a slightly different angle. It didn't move significantly but did shift.

Hurt for a few days, but is better now.

Does your Mum have a home monitoring system that reports in each day? If so, it would show if there was anything wrong with the unit.

Thank you

Thank you, she does have a machine at home and we are going to try and speak to someone tomorrow it has just been a bit of a panic as she woke up and it had sank into her left breast It seems to have hurt her more before it had moved it was the fact that it had moved that was the worry. Thank you for the info
