Is an air compressor considered a power tool and does it interfere with a pacemaker?

between most power generators and my ICD/PM. Generally an air compressor is much, much farther that that. I use my air compressor all the time (such a handy tool for cleaning, etc.) and am still here....

Unless you've draped yourself over the top of the electrical motor while the air compressor is filling the tank, you don't have to worry.

I volunteer at a charity that has a wood shop. I run all the tools found in a typical wood shop with no problems as far as the PM is concerned.

So other than the standard concerns - i.e. cut fingers, foreign objects in your eyes, etc. - you don't have to worry.

I have more problems lifting wood and "pinching" the PM between my shoulder and my ribcage than I do running electrical equipment.

I've learned to use pallet jacks, two wheelers, pry bars, younger volunteers, and other items to help lift heavier wood objects instead of using my own muscle power. I get to do as much woodworking as I like.

So far I haven't been able to find a problem with any electrical or wireless devices. Washers, dryers, irons, microwaves, mixers, blenders, food processors, stoves, computers, phones, drills, saws, dremels, compressors, generators, sanders, grinders, yard blowers, trimmers, chain saws, etc....

Darn, no excuse not to use them!

I have a boston scientific and I'm supposed to watch what power tools i'm around. I'm not to have most of them closer than 6". but I can tell an increase in HR if i use a weedeater, so i let my boys do that. I have been around some things like an electric fence box that also affected it. not supposed to lean over a motor of a vehicle while it's running. haven't tried that yet, don't know how it affects the device. I do know that most of the household appliances mentioned in "no excuse yet" won't affect PM.
