chf
I have been diagnosed with chf.
My ejection fraction is low at 26 after months of medication.
The cardiologist wants to put in a crtd only instead of a
combination crt/icd which is what I have been told I need.

both of these comments are right. The crt-d device is the same as a crt-icd. means the same thing!

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

hi there
i had the crt-d procedure in april. as the note above states, a defibrillator is implanted during the surgery. i have LBBB and severe mitral valve regurgitation. my ejection fraction dropped to 10-15 after several years of medications. my echo in july (3 months after the procedure), showed my EF at 25-30!
stay optimistic and good luck. an experienced doctor is important.
