Can anyone tell me if it is safe to receive electrical stimulation for back and neck pain during chiropractic therapy if you have a ICD/pacemaker?

As always I get such great support and advice from our members. I took the advice and called medtronics and they said no. This sort of treatment is not recommended anywhere between my neck and lower back because if my heart speeds up my defibrillator may kick in and shock me unnecessarily but it could be used on my legs if needed. Thanks again for the advice and Happy New Year!

Nope and nope

iCalled medtronics after my EP doc said no problem and they said big problem! No stim on your torso or neck at all. I would call your device maker for the most accurate info.

I am a young and healthy chic with a pacemaker with no trauma before pm insertion and there was still a definite no to the stim. The rollers on the other hand felt wonderful at my last chiro appt!
