Anyone out there like me?

Has anyone on this site had a pace maker since they were thirteen? I'm in my thirties now...

That's great news!! How can I get in touch with some of these people with similar experiences as me?

Unfortunately I can't think of an easy way to reach them, but we have had a lot of members over the years who have been paced since babies or childhood, more paced in their teens. If you stumbled on a post, you could send them a private message and they'd get an email. We don't make members' information public so that's the only way to reach someone unless they see your post and reply. There are several active groups on Facebook for younger patients.

My story is somewhat similar to yours. I was diagnosed at age 5 but that was in 1971 and they didn't give children pm's then unless it was life threatening. I got by without until I was 27. I'm 47 now and on my 4th device, healthy and active.

You know you're wired when...

Your kids call you Cyborg.
