Just a suggestion:

You can request someone private message you on this site and then exchange numbers if you see fit, but you really shouldn't put your cell phone number on the public site. Anyone can view this website, not just members. You can edit your message and take out the phone number if you want.

I don't know of any support group in NJ. You can always check with the hospital. Some hospitals have a Mended Hearts group but I think they are more in support of the plumbing side of heart problems whereas ours is electrical.

If you have any questions we can help you with please feel free to ask. There is a lot of knowledgeable and helpful members here.

Good luck on Thursday.

I know of no support groups in the South Jersey area. I lived in Blackwood, Gloucester Township for 44 years before moving to Florida. I still have rental properties there. If you need someone to talk to or cry to , leave a private message to me and I will call you. I was in construction and service all my life and driving Pa.,NJ., Del., NY., before heart issues and heart attack and pace maker/ICD.

no go with icd

I was a truck driver for 40 years and received a ICD/pacemaker on 4/24/14. I planned on driving until I was at least 66 but the doctor sees otherwise. The doc said he will not take responsibility for the ICD while driving a truck. BIG liability if you have syncope while driving and have an accident. The lawyers out here would have a field day with that. Look at what is happening with that Walmart driver for falling asleep, they want to crucify him. I'm originally from Philly but live in Wi. now looking for something else to do. Good luck and heal well.k
