pleeease help

23 years old had a pm put in on April 11th 2014. I have been having same symptoms last couple days as I did before I had the pm put in. I heard the tech that checks the pm say something about sinus tachycardia. The cardiologist originally diagnosed me as having sick sinus syndrome. I wasn't having chest pain or anything yeah I have bronchitis and asthma. I'm worried because the tech said everything looked perfectly fine but was talking to the doc about tachycardia and few other things that we're hard to make out. They did a x ray and about 2 hours later wanted to do a ct scan with iodine of my chest. Could they have seen something on the x ray or what I've never had an x ray and than a ct scan

Pneumonia??

I'm talking my own experience here so I don't know but you said you have a history of Asthma and just got over or getting over Bronchitus--along with the sweating, tiredness and everything you're stating I'm wondering if it could possibly be pneumonia maybe??? that's what they're looking to find?? no biggie if it is they'll just give you some antibiotics and you'll be feeling better in no time. I'm not saying that is the case in anyway shape or form but I know when I've had pneumonia before I've felt like crap, sweaty and extremely tired. I wish you all the best. Relax though, getting yourself worked up over everything isn't helping you either--I know that's easier said than done sometimes. Lots of good thoughts and wishes for getting better!

Good Question...

...why both types of radiograph.

Well, don't feel alone. Last Sat/Sun night I had just that combination - regular X-Ray followed about 2 hrs later by a CT scan. For the abdomen, not the chest, but for the same PROBABLE reason.

X-Ray showed nothing but bubbles of gas throughout abdomen.

CT scan w/ contrast was to highlight wherever blood flowed in abdomen & told Dr. if there were any distortions, blockages or other abnormalities.

They can learn the same things about the thorax - the X-Ray probably did not show them what they wanted to see or perhaps hinted that something needed further definition. All the tiny blood vessels in the chest region will show up in the CT in glorious 3-D, giving a good radiologist a lot of information about what is going on.

You did not say -was this an ER visit? By now you should have been told what the results were. If not - you'd best call the appropriate Dr. & ASK what they found - they owe it to you.
