Anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary. It is still crazy to think, at 25, I have a pacemaker. But it's also comforting to know they found something to help with my symptoms. I remember being angry, when I found out it was needed. My friends and family tried to comfort me by saying 'It will be okay. They are going to fix you'. It wasn't the surgery I was angry or worried about. It was the point that I needed FIXED. However, I knew it had to happen regardless and here I am today being the healthiest I've been. I am very proud of my PM, Mioriult.

I'm glad you are still here also......I felt the same way when I received mines last year. I was in shock and felt my heart let me down but I'm glad I got it now and I do appreciate it so much. Well you stay healthy and take care of yourself!

I had an ice cream sundae for you!

Okay, it was really because I was happy after my latest check up today, but let's say it was to celebrate your anniversary too. B-R "tropical vacation" fro-yo with hot fudge and the fixings. Anyway, congratulations!

Sparrow's right, PMs come into lives at all ages.

Good times.

I was actually born with the issue. I've had a cardiologist since a young age but they didn't want to do anything drastic until I was older. I got a new cardiologist. He gave me a 2 week monitor and on day five I got a phone call. 'You can take that off. We have to get you a pacemaker'. I sometimes wish I could have gotten it sooner, I would have felt better. Also, thank you @Griddlebone !!!

You know you're wired when...

Your heart beats like a teenager in love.
