First check up

I've just had my 6 week check after having my first pacemaker and everything is as it should be, but they've found another arithmya due to palpitations I've been having.
I have my print out but don't know what it means.
AT/AF 350ms (171bpm)
VT Detection 400ms (150bpm)

Can anyone tell me what this means? I presume it's the arithmya?

arrhythmia

The doctor told me as she was checking the pacemaker, and i asked questions, but she just said a letter would go to my doctor and i have to wait for an appt with my consultant.
I never seem to get my questions answered, so I'm getting more than a little fed up with being fobbed off.

Detection

Hi!

Unless there is a date, length of the episode, and heart rate mentioned somewhere in your print out, the data you post here sound more like "detection" parameters. Atrial tachy/atrial fibrillation (AT/AF) is detected and documented as an episode starting at 171bpm, and ventricular tachycardia (VT) detection rate is 150bpm. Arrhythmias running at slower rates than the detection rate are not being "interpreted" as an arrhythmia by the pacemaker.

Did you just guess that they found an arrhythmia from reading your printout or did the doctor tell you that the pacemaker has indeed detected an arrhythmia? As I said, normally, if you have had arrhythmias, the pacemaker report at least tells you when, for how long and how fast the arrhythmia was; some pacemakers even store ECGs.
