Shoulder and neck pain

I had a Medtronic ADDR01 put in last November. It is doing fine but I have had shoulder and neck pain ever since the surgery. Is this common? I also have two small bumps that show on the top side of the device. What are they. thanks.

Not sure if it's common

but I have had tendonitis since being "implanted" Dec 24 in left arm - not the shoulder. I think it just happens to some of us.

As for the bumps, are they the device? I can easily palpate the top of my PM from the outside beneath my collarbone.

Hopefully the painful part of this will go away in time for both of us!

Sorry to hear you are still having neck and shoulder pain. I would not say that having pain still is "normal". My guess would be muscle related, maybe from compensating when you had to refrain from using your arm for the 4 weeks after implant.

As for the bumps, my hypothesis would be the leads popping up a bit. As long as you're not having pain at the site of the bumps, it is ok to be able to see and feel them.

Try using some moist heat for your neck and shoulder pain. Hope you continue to heal, and your pain diminishes quickly .

Me too

I am still in pain as well. Guess they put the device to close to my clavicle as I am small framed. I can literally grab the PM and move it around. Not a good feeling. Now they want to go in and reposition it.
You may have a similar issue.
