ICD and Hills & Running!
Hi everyone, so I am now running about 4-5 miles 4-5 days a week, cannot believe it really. I am also faster than when I first hit the ground running post ICD surgery. I have been avoiding any substantial hills while running, however I would love to run my old running route which begins while a long upward slope of about a mile. Any suggestions on running hills? I do wear a HRM when I run. Thanks for chiming in!

Deep breaths

A lovely 82 yr old on this site posted that her dr told her to take deep breaths before climbing stairs as the pacer can't differentiate between vertical and horizontal movement. I tried this running up hills and it helped. Best of luck!

If you feel good doing what you're doing, go ahead and try your old route. Let us know how it goes!
