Hi, I have got a Boston Scientific Pacemaker installed a few days back. I am now recovering post-surgery. My model is Altrua 50. Just want to know if anybody here has the same model and what is his experience. Those experts in pacemakers are also requested to answer.

Thanks Fossil & SinusBrady for your comments.
Fossil, this model is not seen on their product directory on the website, so I was bit concerned. I have sent an inquiry to them which has not yet been answered.
It seems like some latest model because 21st Jan and 10th Feb (the date on which I got mine) are pretty recent. Ya it is pretty small compared to others. I am still not using mobile / cordless etc. but your idea of putting a "Red Tape" is nice.
SinusBrady, ya, so many models, quite confusing there. How long have you been with this?

Does anyone have any suggests for a protective shield for emf and ham radio operation?
You know you're wired when...
You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
Me too!

Had mine, same model, implanted 21/1/2014. Initially I couldn't believe something so small could be so heavy. I was convinced my model was lead lined! Now, after 3 weeks, apart from some tenderness in the immediate area, it's hardly noticeable. One thing I have done, as an aid memoir, is to stick red dots on my mobile and cordless phones and my eReader, reminds me to keep them away from the device.
