Am new to the site. My husband has a Biotronik Evia DR-T pacemaker implanted in 2012. Since then a lead has failed but they got in on a different channel. He is having troubles with it where it seems to "jump time" is the easiest way to explain it. It adds an extra beat in or pauses two seconds before kicking in. Is anyone else having these issues? What did the doctors do about it? The docs and the Biotronik reps do an adjustment but it only works for a little while. He had the same issue in April, and June and now in December. Any thoughts would be good. He has syncope (passing out) and he does pass out 4-5 times a day. It has been worse since implant. Docs have tested him but haven't found anything that would explain the passing out.

...jumping time. Never heard that term used by anyone before.
Your husband is new to the hosting game & it is to be expected that he will sense some weird arrhythmias.
Have you heard the term PVC used? Do you know what one is?
If not & it is new to you that could be the explanation.
Let me know & I'll discuss them for you & HOW they might be causing the strange sensations your husband feels.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
Thank you!

Thank you.
The docs at Mayo suspect a secondary adrenal insufficiency but the local docs are fighting it. THey test that is done is not accurate according to Mayo. I have him going to Mayo for endocrinology. The Mayo doc "Jim" said that the adrenal problems could explain a lot of his symptoms.
Since his pacemaker keeps "jumping time" I am worried it is not the right one for him. I wonder if others have had issues where the pacemaker kind of gets out of adjustment. I've asked repetedly to have it looked into but the docs ignore me. Frustrating.
Thank you for the ideas and suggestions. He has been seen and cleared from neurology, gastroenterology, cardiology, and several other departments.
