Hello everyone. My interrogation went well today, it felt a bit odd, but nothing I couldn't handle.
I now have all the answers I didn't before like mode (DDDR) and that my battery life and voltage is excellent (3.01V and est. life of 10.5-11.5yrs). I'm still pacing through my Atrium but only at about 22%, ventricle less than 1% which EP says is perfect, and what he expected.
One thing that made it less than perfect is that apparently I had 5 high ventricular rate events, that I had no clue about. EP says my pacer will record anything above 160, but both the rep and the EP said they were not dangerous rhythms. I know they are not exercise induced since I know I was not exercising on the dates/times the rep asked about. (One was in the middle of the night). EP said for now we watch, and perhaps some med tweaking is in order if they continue/increase.
I feel great overall almost six weeks out. Is the high ventricular rate just growing pains with the device or something I should try to track more closely?
Thanks!

You won't have to worry unless they wake you up. I've got a history of a-fib so my heart rate will accelerate if I lay the wrong way in bed. (Told 'em my grandparents jumped into the gene sewer. )
Even if they do wake you up, you'll want to discuss with your cardio doctor. May just need a little tweaking on the meds. The only time you'd have to be concerned is if the heart rate accelerates, wakes you up, and continues to accelerate. One incident for me, heart rate started at 80 and went to 140 over a course of four hours. If you do that, punch the button and get the EMT's. Otherwise, talk to the cardio dr.
Sounds like things are going really well for you, so I'd concentrate on the positive and not obsess with the negative.

NSVTs are typically not that big of a deal. I say typically because I'm sure that there are exceptions out there in the world.
I wouldn't sweat it if the EP saw the strips and wasn't too concerned. They'll probably be more proactive if you ever become symptomatic to the short runs. Until then they'll probably just monitor to see if they're becoming longer.

...Short term high rate episodes. Just a couple of heart beats. That is not serious. When they become long time they are serious. You did not even know they occurred, so they must have been very short.
Sounds great!
