Real Time Recording

Since joining this site I've figured out two things; everyone's PM experiences are different and there's a lot of good information to be found on this website. One of my recent experiences involved me, my PM, and a battery operated AM radio about an arm's length way on my desk in my basement office. A few days ago, I came downstairs to my desk and started working when I noticed a ticking in the static on my radio was about the same pace as my heart beat. Since I'm not 100% paced the ticking went away and I forgot about it. Later after returning from upstairs for another cup of coffee, I noticed the ticking in the static had returned and was still pacing me. So I grabbed my smartphone and videoed the radio broadcast including the audio. When I played the video back you could definitely hear the ticking in the static. A little blown away by this, I searched PMC website and found a posting from 2005 stating this was possible. After reading the post confirming it is possible to hear my PM working, I've started freaking out my friends and family by playing back the video for them!

Thanks again for all the informative posts on this website!

For the people on this site who are worried their PM isn't working we can tell them to do what you've done. Maybe the ticking will lull them to sleep because they know their PM is working.

Since I have no sense of rhythm and basically tone deaf, it was a good thing it was an hourly newscast.
