magnetic exercise bike

Hello my mum has ELA ICD SN 050YG01C. Her heart was %50 damaged after a heart crisis. Moreover, she uses a lot of drugs and now she is getting weight day by day. I want to buy a magnetic exercise bike (voit X-bike delux). However, this exercise bike has magnetic system on its pedal place in order to get smooth and silience exercise quality. Does it cause a problem if i use this exercise bike. I want to add that i asked same question to my doctor in Turkey and your representatives in Turkey but nobody couldnt answer my question. Then, i sent a lot of mails to Sorin Ela Group but they also never replied me ..if you replied me message i will be really glad. My best regards...

Unless the magnet is quite large, it's probably ok. Most magnets don't affect us unless they are less than 6" from our device. I have used those bikes and felt fine. Try it out in the store, see how you feel. Even if it affects you, it is not dangerous. If you feel odd, step away from it.

Hi,

I just got an exercise bike (Vision R40) with a magnetic pedaling system and I have not had any problems with it interfering with my pacemaker.

Good luck to your mom!

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
