I have an ICD and half of my heart was damaged from a heart attack. I use a treadmill almost daily. It is the key piece of equipment I use to try and improve my heart health. If she is carrying extra weight, then by all means go ahead and get her the treadmill.

Welcome to the Pacemaker Club.
The electric motor on a treadmill will not harm your mother's pacemaker. Actually there are very few electric or electronic devices that will harm our pacemakers. Should she encounter one that does interfere with its operation it will feel as if she has very irregular heart beat. In such case get away from the device (2 or 3 meters) and the heart beat will return to normal in a few seconds with no harm done to the heart or the pacemaker.

Like the others said, treadmills are fine. Just make sure your mom plans on using the type of machine you get.
For example, I find treadmills boring. I would rather walk or use an elliptical or stationary bike instead.

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.
all are ok

Motors are not a problem, only large magnets. Any treadmill is ok. If it has a built in heart rate monitor, she may find that it does not work.
