Hi all,
Two weeks post op 18/12/13, i had to dive (baywatch style) off a 2 meter high pool fountain to save my 2 1/2 year old daughter from drowning. She is fine, swimming lessons paid off.
What i would like to know is what are the symptoms of a lead coming loose. I have a home blood pressure machine that confirms i am still pacing at 60bpm. I have a Meditronic Advisa DR. I dont have any pain over incision or sub pec implant but do have intermittent tolerable pain in heart.
Is this pain normal healing pain or should i be worried.

first of all glad ur child is ok and second its deff not a loose lead i had this a few yrs ago and let me tell you it was scary and u would know straight away...with me my heart would go really low for 7-10 seconds and then i was normal this happened quiet a few times before it was discovered that was the problem.

The number one symptom of a dislodged lead is no longer pacing. The chance of a lead coming loose after two weeks from something we did is extremely small. Some pain is part of healing. Odds are you are fine, but when in doubt ask to be seen.
Glad your daughter is ok!
