pleasantly surprised

today I got a phone call from the cardio's head office manager (there are 4-5 offices and 14 doctors on the heart team).
the call was in regards to my phone call to the office on tuesday being ignored. I had called at 9 am to complain of pain at PM area. 6 hours later I had to call back. the receptionist made lots of excuses about why I was not called back. I told the doctor the next day in detail about it, and he seemed concerned and upset. I really did not expect any follow up. But the office manager was livid that I was treated that way, wanted all the details, and said I should not have had to wait more than an hour and a half. This will be addressed and I was given a number to the main office should anything like this ever happen again. So my trust has returned for my doctor and his team(I am not naive however, and will continue to be on guard every visit). Nice to be listened to by the medical profession!

It is good to know they follow up! The office manager sounds pretty good and the dr sounds like he cares, all good news.

Good to hear

Thank you for letting us know that you got a call back, it sounds like they do try to take care of people. I would keep track of who you talk to when you call, will keep them on their toes.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
