My daughter has a pacemaker and started experiencing tingling/pain in her left arm that seems to be ongoing. She has Tuberous Sclerosis and has been on Lamictal for 16 years for seizures, which are controlled. We had always thought the tingling was seizure related (a breakthrough seizure), but now we are thinking it may be a pacemaker issue. It seems to happen at night and when she has a cold/virus. She has had the pain for about a week, in the past they seemed to go away in a few minutes. Our cardiologist said it could be a nerve issue related to the pacemaker, but has never heard of this happening in any of his patients. Has anyone had a similar experience? We can't do any MRIs due to a lead in her abdomen from a previous pacemaker from childhood and we are baffled as to what else it could possibly be.
