Pacemaker Replacement

Hi All,

I'm quite concern and would like to know an average cost to replace my son's PM in the US who has a Boston scientific pacemaker being 100% dependent with dual chamber epicardial leads.

Very soon we would have to replace his PM as the battery life is depleting and my husband and I would greatly appreciate your feedback. It's very hard for us as we don't have anymore insurance coverage as a result from his first implant and the insurance maximum benefit being lifetime and not annually for that specific ailment.

Speak to Boston Scientific and speak to your Doctor for advice/ help.

Also speak to the Patient Advocate located in the hospital where your son would be having the replacement. They should be able to direct you.

Your other post states that your son is 33 months old. I would think all would be willing to work with you. Also appeal to the insurance company.
