Flu shot before or after PM insert?

Hi to all, I have been reading this site for a couple of weeks and have learnt a lot from all the candid answers.
I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with permanent Afib, heart failure and some cardiomyopathy from the fast heart beat. The docs tried cardio version which worked for a few minutes, then amioderone which unfortunately caused hypothyroidism. I currently take ramipril, carvelidol, xeralto, and synthroid.
I am having a CRT-P pacemaker and Av node ablation in two weeks time.
My question is when should I get the flu shot? It is not available in my area until 8 days before the procedure which I think is a bit too close. I have the flu shot yearly And only have a sore arm for a few days, no other effects. My feeling is that I should wait two weeks after the implant. What do you folks think?
Thanking you in advance for any advice you can give.

flu shot?

I'm no expert on flu shots, but wonder what your doctor would advise on this. It would seem that 8 days would be safe either way, but you probably should get professional advice on this

8 days is more than enough

I was asked by the nurse prepping me for PM surgery if I wanted to have the flu shot before I was discharged the next day. I said yes, but then the next day I wasn't feeling great, so the nurse said best to wait a week or two until I'm feeling better. I'm planning on having it next week, which will be 3 weeks post-op.

Hospital gave me flu shot just a few hours after implant.
