I have been meaning to post this for awhile (can you tell I was raised in a Dutch area:); however I kept forgetting. I found my ice packs to be very uncomfortable- either they were to hard, or too heavy. I made my own for the weight I felt comfortable with. Freeze baggies of rubbing alcohol.... They turn to slushies and work great- also way cheaper!!! Happy healing!

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
Another option..

These are good ideas! Another option for those who don't want to DIY their ice-packs is to look out for the "pea" ice-packs at the pharmacy. It's an ice-pack full of little bead-like gel bubbles which means that it's flexible even when frozen. I found the size and wight to be really good, but they also have children's one's (shaped like ducks and fish and so on) which are even smaller and lighter.
I got mine at CVS, you can see them here:

A bit more expensive than your options though, but not unreasonable, I thought, seeing as you can use it as a heat pad too.
