How often does this person apply suntan lotion? I would think that it would also apply to regular lotion as well, (no pun intended).

I'm surprised a physician would move the pacemaker having based it solely on it "catching it on a ring". The problem would really need to compromise the patient in order to warrant moving the pacemaker, I would think.

My skin broke down at the corner of mine TWICE and was on IV antibiotics, in the hospital, with each occurrance before they finally moved it under the muscle. Now that it's been under the muscle for a few years now, it's grown uncomfortable and sometimes, I think pinches things. Despite this, my physician bluntly told me, "I'm not moving it", and I didn't even ask him to. I can understand his reasons, though, since each time you open the skin it posts risks for your device, and infection.

You know you're wired when...

You fondly named your implanted buddy.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.
