Had a pacer placed in March 2013. Continuing to have intermittent about every 10 days to 2 weeks episodes of significant short term memory loss where I can't remember anything newer than 6 months. Episodes last from 2- 10 minutes. I am able to call my family but not able to remember significant events like my horse's name or what happened in the last few weeks. The memories all come back within about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes I experience a sensation in my left lower chest like a buzzing or a bubbly feeling. HELP!! I am starting to freak out. Going for a second opinion tomorrow because md I am seeing isn't calling me back!!!

..because ..

...just to expand a little.Around 25 per cent of the body's cholesterol is in the brain. It would be convenient if statins only reduced cholesterol in the coronary arteries but they do far more than that. Once you start reducing cholesterol levels in the brain all sorts of side-effects such as memory loss are possible
Best of luck

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.

Are you on statins by any chance ? It is not common
but statins can cause memory loss and all of the symptoms which you describe.
