Penny-size hard lump over pacemaker

My pacemaker was installed about year and half ago and I haven't had much problems with it until today. I noticed a hard lump the size of a penny over my pacemaker. The lump is over my incision scar. It doesn't hurt to touch, but it does itch a bit. And again, it is very had at the touch. Has anyone had this or know what it could be?

Thank you,
George

Any changes like that should be checked out. It's probably just scar tissue. As sparrow said, moist heat may help, but I'd still have someone take a peek at it just to be on the safe side.

Have it looked at

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
