My first post....I would appreciate feedback from those of you who have experienced a burning sensation around the pacemaker site. It is a constant sensation and I've questioned by doctors but they don't have an answer.

Hi! I have had that sensation while healing and if I stressed the area, but not to the extent you seem to be experiencing it. A second opinion is needed if you get no relief from your current care, and you say you have tried with no positive results. You have described the sensation as constant, so an evaluation is needed. I hope you get a diagnosis and relief soon. Hopeful Heart

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.

Thanks for the comment. I have an appointment with a new doctor and will suggest to him that it may be an allergic reaction to the leads. I'm pacing about 75% and think that at times I can trace the track of the leads into the heart. BluJ
