Motion Sensitivity

New member question:
Just got my PM last week for Bradycardia. I am 52 years old. Was interested if anybody has turned off their motion sensor and if so, how does that work for you?

Bradycardia is a slow heart rate, more of a symptom than a diagnosis. Do you know what is causing the brady? If you have sinus issues, if your atrial rate does not go up with activity, then you likely need the rate response on. If you have av block, which means the atria beats normally but the signal doesn't make it to the ventricles, then the motion sensor may cause more problems and it's best turned off. I have av block and do not use rate response.

If you need rr on but do not feel good, ask to have it adjusted. There are quite a few sensitivity settings and odds are good it just needs tweaked.
