Don't know about the rest of the world, but in the US it's illegal to sell a pacemaker.

I believe that in the UK used pacemakers are deemed to be hazardous waste and treated as such.

I bring it to my EP when it's time for the battery change and tell him I got this dirt cheap....can you implant it for me? BTW Doc, I'm not sure if it is new or used.

Not to mention the legal ramifications of where did you get it, etc....and now they want it taken back out because it may or may not be evidence in a crime.....not in the US medpc.

So medpc, since you posted this, I'm going to ask what inquiring minds want to know.....what country are you in and where did you get them?

In the US they are a prescription so you can't sell them new or used. I can't imagine any reputable surgeon putting one in that didn't come directly from the manufacturer.
