Hi
I'm on Metoprolol 25 mg 3x/day, 30 mg Isosorbide, 5 mg Amlodipine, Losartin 100 mg. Had a dual function pacemaker placed in January. I can't seem to get around the block without stopping several times and taking nitro. Legs are swelling but swelling goes down at night. BP is down to 135/80. I'm thinking the Amlodipine is causing the swelling. I cut the Metoprolol in half for a week or so and the BP went down to 120-125/ 70. Anything similar happening to anyone else.

Once I had my a new Bi-V PM with ICD installed, my EF was still low, 25% yet I felt better. I was placed on similar meds while I was waiting for surgery. After I took them for 3 months and felt awful. My heart hurt, I felt dizzy and had loose bowels every morning. I stopped them and have felt a lot better. I really don't think doctors know what they are doing, they just use standard treatments. Listen to your body and do what makes you feel better.

I have an ICD which is both a pacer/defib. I have no problems with mine and it has saved my life.

Sounds like a lot more going on than getting used to the pm! Any of those meds can make you tired.
Metoprolol brings bp down, so it doesnt make sense that cutting it back brings your rate down.
Swelling is usually more heart function, how hard it beats, than how often it beats (what the pm fixes).
Don't mess with your medications on your own!! No heart meds should be changed suddenly or without supervision.
