chat room

Hi just wondered how chat room worked i managed to chat to Tiggerak for a few mins tonight but seemed to then loose contact also couldnt see who was in chat room and had to post message before i could see what was being said or else there was a blank screen any help would be most appreiciated thanks

It's designed that way ...

To reduce the horsepower needed to run that chatroom, it was purposely designed that way. I will explore if information (i.e. who's online) can be displayed without taking too many resources.

id just like to add to surfermans comments in saying thanks for your efforts in all you do for the site i agree that chatrooms are still mysterious to us `oldtimers` but we are never to old to learn hopefully
