Muscle Spasm?
I am scheduled for surgery next week to replace my ICD as the battery is getting low. Every so often, it feels like a muscle spasm where my pacemaker is located. (Sorta like a bulging experience). Please understand, I know what the defib feels like as I have experienced it a couple of times while dancing. Is this something related to the low battery or has anyone else experienced this?

I am not sure that it is a Battery Low condition,..more a 'muscle reaction' to the prescence of a foreign body.
Just a thought..wiser minds ( AH !) may have a more informed view

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

While I am on my second ICD, if I understand your post correctly, I have not had the experience you described in your post with either device. You have a scheduled surgery shortly, so I think your medical care should be made aware of your symptom now. You want to be healthy for your surgery. Keep us posted about your surgery and recovery. I hope all goes well for you. Hopeful Heart
