First time they repositioned the lead and the second they replaced it with an active fixation wire which screws into the heart muscle. Still waiting to see if that one is good. They use the same scar to access the lead.
You know you're wired when...

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
New lead or adjustment?

Are you actually getting a new lead or is it just being placed appropriately?
I haven't had a new lead, but I did have to have one of my leads placed correctly after it shifted.
I had my second surgery 3 weeks after the first and it has been wonderful, very different. With the first I had pain and with the second I've had NONE:) Huge improvement!!!
Good Luck. Keep us all updated.
