l would definately reccomend that you get it checked out so that you know what the cause is.
My own experience was a huge lump over the incision area as my surgeon was pretty inexperienced and mine was caused by a haematoma (caused by his inexperience) !!!
Anyhow it was just a case of waiting for it to subside but please get it checked to rule out infection etc.
Good luck, Sue X

After my implant when I was leaving the hospital I was told to report back immediately if there was unusual swelling (they said like the size of a small tangerine) or fever, redness etc. Hopefully you can see someone today to check you out. Good Luck and I hope all will be OK!

You will have a slight lump there if your PM was inserted on top of the muscle and you are a small person (i have always had a disctinct outline of my PM) but when you describe it I can't tell if you are saying it's sticking out as far as the size of an egg or if the outer rim is the shape of an egg. If it's sticking out then I would go in because that could be a sign of concern like the other posters said. If it's just the outline then I would not worry.
