Food

I need a real, doable weekly menu that is heart healthy, and diabetes friendly and not boring, I workout some and have committed to do better, but I always feel bloated, and in need of 1 size up. Any suggestions

Hi! Since you are diabetic and a heart patient, it would probably be a good idea to consult with a dietician. The heart diet addresses excess unhealthy fat, and the diabetic diet addresses carbohydrate control. They can be combined for healthy and enjoyable eating but take some real effort. You mentioned bloating. Have you discussed that with your doctor for possible gastroparesis since you are diabetic. Take care and do work toward a healthy and still enjoyable diet for a better life. You are worth it. I admire your courage to want that for yourself. Hopeful Heart

Ratatouille

Google a recipe for ratatouille. It is loaded with veggies and you can use some of those canned tomatoes. I make a big batch once a week and enjoy it with rice, pasta or bread for lunch. For a main meal, I might add some thin slices of sausage or some beans. Seriously delicious and heart healthy.

As general advice, I would say try to choose real food over processed. Eg when snacking, fruit instead of cookies, edamame or nuts instead of potato chips. You might have specific requirements for diabetes though so I would consult a dietician about that.
