............................I had lead extraction 14th Jan this year at Glenfield Leicester by Dr Alastair Sandilands.
Total success, no problems at all.
Dr Sandilands is a very approachable person and is very keen to make sure that patients are well informed ..he will give you all the time you need.
Best wishes

Hi. I go to St George's Hospital in London for all my cardiac care. They have a specialist cardiac unit which is well known in the UK.
Good luck
Best wishes

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.

The leading cardiac centres in the UK are :-
-- The Royal Brompton Hosp in West London
-- Papworth near Huntingdon
- Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital
These are all specialist units with considerable experience of lead extractions . I'm sure there are many cardiologists in general hospitals around the UK who would " have a go"
but, I don't blame you, if I had well bedded-in leads that needed taking out , I would go to one of these major units.
Best of luck
Ian
