Can someone help with any information as to wether I should be overly concerned as to my intermittent AF, I have a dual lead Biontronic pacer inserted on the 30th Of January this year.
Still; get AF sometimes and saw the techs a couple of days ago for a chek up and he said most things were ok except I am apparently in flutter 39% of the time, I`m not on any meds as found hard re complications and allergic reactions, the Cardio said may have to consider ablation if this keeps up, think tech said I have parymoxial tach? anyway my worry is sometimes like tonite I get a bit of a cough and dry reach a little with it, only happens every now and then and seems after excersion a while later.
does anyone know of this situation or have had similar happenings.
Thank you for any feedback, kind regards, johnb

I have some intermittent AF as well and many of the other symptoms that you mentioned like flutter and cough. the way I understand it, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia is usually not life threatening unless you have other heart conditions going on. Now, I have noticed I have to watch my caffeine consumption more closely now than before the pm. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or do illegal drugs so caffeine is the only thing I can come up with that might be causing this....for me. For instance, I'm a diet coke addict and have been drinking caffeine free for the last few days. I ran out and just picked up the regular diet coke and after one day on those I started having more of the AF than before. It woke me up last night beating like crazy so I guess it's back to caffeine free everything for me from now on.
I know this probably is not much help, but hope you feel better soon.
