Thank you Tammy

Re the Yay;

Thanks for getting back Tammy and yes will jot down things as they happen so as for better recall when talking with Dr`s etc.

As to your Question about the cough, no one has been able to answer effectively the reason/s the tech doesn`t think its related to the PM but I`m not convinced and at first my GP and cardioligist just thought it might be just a viral thing but its been ever since the PM was put in virtually and as said earlier it only bugs me when excerting or or puffed out when A/F running fast so I am going to discuss it again with them or the Electrocardio Prof Kilbourne when I see him soon. like you said and agree I think its some possible irration maybe from the PM?
Hope things will get better and better sooner than the 8 months you were saying! I`ll be ready for the rubber room by then I reckon!! it was sooooo hard a couple of days ago when I went to the pool to walk up and down because as a bit of a distance swimmer and working as a lifeguard when a bit younger I found the urge to swim so strong and hard to resist but I will because I dont want to go backwards or damage myself so the will power is there but as they say in comedy, "It aint easy!!"
Thanks again Tammy for the letter of nsupport and have a nice day.
Kind regards, John

Hi John,

You are very welcome. I'm interested to see what your EP/Prof doc says about the cough. It's so weird, because I've read so often out here about people complaining about a cough after their PM was put in. Again, I've never experienced it, but there are a lot of others out there that have mentioned it. Others have commented too, that it probably isn't the PM, but it still makes one wonder if something is being stimulated by the PM or maybe a lead, doesn't it? Hopefully, some of the more experienced people out here can give you a better answer. Did you do a search on this site for "cough" (click on "search" at top right hand corner of this site) to see what other answers are out there?

Oh! Don't worry at all with the "8 month" thing. It took a lot less time for me to feel better. Others felt better right away. But, 8 months seems to be the "magic number" that keeps popping up as a general rule. And, you'll feel better and better before that, so don't think you'll be miserable until then. I promise! By 8 months you'll feel GREAT, not just better! :)

I know for me, once my settings were right, and I got back to my normal activities, time flew by, and all of the sudden, every day I felt better and better. That alone, gives you a great feeling of hope! Trust me.

Take care, and let us all know how you're coming along. You'll be feeling great soon! I just know it!

Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Tammy

Oh! I forgot....

I just thought of something! Are you by chance, on any new medication that could be causing the cough? Some meds will do that if you're sensitive to one of the ingredients. Some even have that listed as a common side effect. Even if it's not a new med, could the company have changed manufacturers about the same time, and added a different ingredient? Or, have you started any new vitamins or supplements of some sort? Can you think of anything you started doing about the same time as you got your PM?

Have you done anything at all different (started using a new product, cleaner, blanket, sheets, pillow, laundry detergent, food, drink, cologne, etc.) that might be causing an allergy? Try to think of anything, just in case it's not the PM. Do ask your doctors/PM tech just in case it does have something to do with the PM or leads, but try to think of other possibilities, just in case.

Good luck!
