info on pacemaker

We are all picking up bits and pieces from each other the hard way, so thanks to all on the site. I would like to know several things - is an 'interrogation' just a pacemaker check or what?- how does your pm phone in its situation on what has been happening since last reading? can anyone have that or is just particular models this applies to? when the report arrives in your hot little hand from letterbox or email is it sent by your cardieman?

My cardieman who checks mine will tell me nothing. I spoke with medtronic and was told- I am entitled to be told what has been happening, what changes they make and what they expect to happen and I will insist on this in future along with printout in keeping with 'freedom of info'. If I want to know more at the moment I have to make an appointment for a consultation, goes 3 hrs in a train, stay overnight at a motel, have the appointment, stay overnight at a motel again and train it home, along with various taxies along the way.

I am going to talk with Medtronic again and see if we can come up with a better arrangement.
.
Thanks for your help. I will put another entry in about my flecainide experiences, mt

they call it that, but it's a ck up. usually a tech does it. and depending on what tech I get. if they share any info with me, feel free to ask though, for a explainion of the findings and if there was any events recorded. like example, did your pm record anything unusual or was it all normal. the electrophyscililgist dr will explain if u have any issues.

Interrogation

is a report from your pacemaker to its interrogator--a magic box that translates all the info your sneakey little pm gathers. Prints it out for the tech to report to your EP and cardio. you have to ask if you want reports. I'm not sure if all PM's have a telephone question period or not. Mine does it is a boston sifi, I also live 100 miles from the docs so glad it does. Happy days Jean
