Pain from atrium?

Ok I had my pacemaker implant on October 12th this year due to low heart rate and stopping heart rate.
Was a healthy person prior to this fast onset.
So now my ponder is I can feel in my neck and side typically when the pacemaker is pacing the atrium, but lately I've been having pain/ discomfort seemingly at the bottom of my rib cage radiating up into my chest..
Anyone else experience this?

I have been trying like hell to remember to not lift alot and limiting movement in my left arm but have caught myself forgetting.. Seems since the 12th my memory is definitely not up to par.. I had 5 syncoble episodes leading to my trip to the ER..
So that may also explain memory too.. Caught myself each time with my face as it seems when they happened.. Sigh

ask to see your dr

The pain should be lessening if not gone by now, ask your dr to take a look.

Don't worry about the lifting and arm movement, you're past the point where it makes a difference. And arm movement is good, just not higher than shoulder level. It's important to keep the arm moving so you don't get frozen shoulder. But again, you are almost 2months out, you really only need to do that for 4-6 weeks.

I agree call your Dr. or PM Technition.

You may want to call and have your PM interrogated and please don't wait if you're having pain. There is no reason to be miserable when it may be a simple solution.

My ventr. lead was pacing my diaphragm, which is where you are having pain, and I had to have it reset, yes a second surgery, but the top lead also needed to be "tweeked".

My PM Technition, said that too many people wait to complain about their pain because they don't know how to explain it exactly. She said to explain it the best you can, but get it checked.
I had my surgery last week and I'm feeling wonderful. I felt wonderful immediatly after surgery. and by the way, my PM was interrogated again the morning after surgery.

Good luck and let us know what happens and how you feel.

P.S.

Just wanted you to know that when I said the top lead was "tweeked," that was done without surgery, just easily adjusted by the PM tech. Hope that's all it is.
