Am I feeling wires under skin?
I'm not really concerned but just curious as I can feel these to separate things (which feel a bit more defined than veins under the skin) and I can very faintly see a tiny lump above my incision where i can feel these two "wires". They continue below my incision and the feeling becomes less obvious as I reach where the ICD is. These weren't there before and have only become obvious in the last month or so... Oh and I've had my ICD for approx. 11 months. Any ideas as to what this is?? Is it just my skin adjusting??
Thanks xo (:

Feel like I'm saying that a lot tonight.
I can see and feel my wires coming from the top side of my ICD. You can see them poking out of my skin along with most of the ICD and I am not thin.

pm wires

Mine are very prominent and became more so when I had a digital mammogram in which the technician was extremely rough even though she knew I had a pm. I have to be careful now as they are so prominent that sometimes I catch the towel under them when drying after a shower. Sometimes they irritate my skin, but apart from that no problems.

You know you're wired when...
You can feel your fingers and toes again.

They probably are wires. Mine stick right out for the world to see. One has a slight "coil" to it. My ICD has worked it's way down about 5cm. and turned sideways. But it keeps on tickin'..Mine is checked every 24 hrs. . My EP tech says this is common. I'll not worry until someone who knows more than I begins to worry. I will tell you not to "mess" with it. Use search in upper left corner and put in twiddler's syndrome...lol Good luck! Bev
