I was wrestling and the person accidently pulled on the area where my pacemaker is on the left side. Is it disconnected now? I have had this implant now for four months. I was trying to move the persons hand. What do you suppose could happen if you pull on the area to hard where the bulky pacemaker is. I can feel the pacemaker, because it is bulky. Do I have to go back have the procedure done again?

call whomever takes care of you & your pacemaker and ask to be checked out. As Janet mentioned - how do you feel?

Sorry to be a bore,..but mucking about wrestling at four months does seem to me to be, as Old Gits like me are prone to say:
"Asking for it"
You will live,.. but as Jane and Pooks have said..go and get checked out. Really smart people who have studied and who are really committed to delivering quality healthcare would be looking to the heavens if they knew that all their work was put at risk.
Rant over, Stacey....it will be OK

I know a lot of people here in the UK in top end healthcare...I dont know how many ,out there, that know that amongst AE / ER medics ..here in the UK .. Motorcyclists are known as :
Organ Donors
Kind of makes you think.....
Especially because the Bikers who buy really Fabbo-Fast bikes are all now really ancient...dont have crashes..and have crappy old organs that no other
Biker would need..leaves the transplant world short of a few corpses
Always brusque..unless required to be sensitive

Thank you all for your comments. I will call and make an appointment to see my doctor right away. I was not asking for it Mr. TatooMan. It was an accident, the person yanked me up in my chest not knowing that the pace maker was where I was yanked. A practical joke that is not at all funnie ;-( But for a peace of mind, I will definitely have xrays too.
OK..Stacey / Joan..

Good plan Kid. I do understand, few people muck about as much as I do.
Have a good weekend.

How do you feel?

I would suspect that if your PM was "disconnected" that you would feel like you did before you got the PM. To relieve your mind call your Dr & see what they think. They may have you come in for a check up,
Hope this helps.
