when i first had my pacemaker implanted i first had a av node oblation. this makes you pacemaker dependent ,because this is the natural pacemaker of the heart. so when my battery becomes low i start to loss perphial vision ,become dizzy off and on such terrible symptoms , maks even hard to work . and they wont change the battery till its so low that i feel so debilitated. my first pacemaker was put in in 2008 second one 20010 now i have 3 years left , but i know it will be less.

That sounds like what happened to me, having the ablation done first, to fix my initial problem. I was fine for 2 days. Turns out too much was killed off, and my HR dropped to 35. I had my PM put in in July 2010, and I'm getting concerned after reading the problems you're having with the battery life. I have an appointment for a check up with my Dr at the end of the month. I will be sure to ask him about the symptoms you are describing, and should I be on the look out for them, too.
