Vasovagal Syncope, Dysautonomia

My 20 year old daughter had a pacer placed in October for Vasovagal Syncope. She also has Dysautonomia. If you could take a few minutes to read the following and pass it along to groups you may belong to I would be appreciative. We would like to prevent others from going through the long struggle for proper treatment.

"My cardiologist is interested in starting a dysautonomia clinic monthly or bi-monthly in Toledo, Ohio as per the interest that would be generated. Please message me personally. Our goal is to help put an end to the misinformation, misdiagnosis, lack of diagnosis, and lengthy struggles so many are going through to find effective treatments for this illness.

I searched for three years to find answers to my mysterious health problems, underwent countless medical tests, traveled to multiple states, and got no answers. Within a month of meeting Dr. Alo, he diagnosed me with the correct form of dysautonomia and I am now able to function as a normal twenty year old - something I previously would have never thought possible.

To contact me with any questions or show of interest, please feel free to contact me via facebook (Alicia Sickler) or email at alicia.sickler@yahoo.com.

Thanks for reading and please pass this post, in its entirety, along to any other dysautonomia communities or social media groups you may be a part of!"

Hello! Great to find someone of almost the same age with the same diagnosis! I was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope almost 2 years ago and still struggle with certain things.
Here if you have any questions or to share your story.

I was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope and ended up with a pacemaker. I had never heard dysautonomia until reading your post and upon googling it, the symptoms and background seem similar to my medical history.
Would your daughter be able to share her symptoms and what the doctor is doing to treat her dysautonomia? I would also love some advice on how to approach the cardiologist to look into this as a possible diagnosis. Thank you

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
