I am 77 and just had a pm installed 4 years ago. Sex renewed within weeks of the implant. and a lot of sex too. It is all good. We haven't had any problems at all with the pm and our sex life. Best wishes. just get over the fears. My cardiologist told me when I was ready, go for it. Ann

If he's up for it, go for it ! I wonder does your boyfriend have any other hobbies or does he not have time to fit them in ?

Seriously , when we have people with PMs running marathons some " bedroom athletics ", no matter how strenuous, frequent and prolonged will be fine.

If it is the end for either of you .... what a way to go !

Enjoy !

Most people have a pacemaker because the electrical system in their heart has a problem. The heart itself is fine. It is not the same as a heart attack, and once the pacemaker is there to make sure the electrical impulse is getting to the heart, you can do anything you want. So, it is possible to have a pacemaker and have a heart that is as fit as a 20 year old. If that is why he has a pacemaker, just for the electrical impulse, you and your boyfriend can come up with any recreational schedule you want.

I wish you two a long, happy relationship.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
